Who We Are

About

With years of experience and a results-focused approach, we empower businesses to navigate complexity and achieve their goals.
Message from Our Founder:

I am Khaled Elsharkasi, the founder and CEO of American Libyan Gateway Logistics & Trade. Born in Benghazi, Libya, and based in the United States, I launched this company to serve as a trusted link between American industries and Libya’s evolving economic landscape. With my experience and understanding of business—and my firsthand knowledge of both countries—I recognized the need for a logistics and trade partner capable of operating reliably on both sides of the Atlantic.

Our Mission

Empowering U.S.–Libya Growth

At ALGTL, we are dedicated to fostering connections between American and Libyan businesses. Our goal is to support economic growth through strategic partnerships and trade opportunities.

Advisory & Outreach

As a dual-market consulting firm, we advise American and Libyan partners on navigating regulations, identifying opportunities, and aligning with strategic goals—especially within the Fund for Development and Reconstruction of Libya’s (FDRL) reconstruction agenda.

Logistics Support & Representation

We provide reliable in-country representation and logistics coordination to support your presence in Libya. Our team helps you move productively across borders, solve challenges, and reduce risk.

Why Libya / Why Now?
Libya is undergoing a transformative development phase. With over $1 billion allocated by the Fund for Development and Reconstruction of Libya (FDRL), American companies have a rare opportunity to participate in rebuilding healthcare systems, infrastructure, and economic trade routes. And this is just the beginning — additional investments and sector-specific opportunities are actively unfolding, creating long-term potential for U.S.–Libya collaboration. Did you know? Benghazi is emerging as the economic capital of North Africa
